Old Buenos Aires: The Zanjón de Granados tunnels and the "Minimal House"

Half Day

This is a fascinating journey in time to the early days of Buenos Aires, through tunnels with more than four centuries of history. These mysterious passageways were discovered by the property owner, Jorge Eckstein, as he intended to refurbish the house. Located in San Telmo’s Pasaje San Lorenzo, the “Minimal House” is the narrowest in the city with a front of barely 2.50 meters. Houses like this were inhabited by the freed slaves in colonial times.
