Evita and Peronism Tour, History and Passion

Half Day

Peronism is Argentina's strongest political movement. Its history can be traced through not only books but also buildings, public squares, and neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. This tour follows those footsteps, visiting key locations to understand the political and cultural circumstances that led Juan Domingo Perón to power and to become a key figure of the 20th century being the only Argentine to have been elected president three times. The program also looks into the life of Perón's wife, Evita Duarte, her political role and her tragic death, and visits some landmarks associated to her, such as her mausoleum, the museum dedicated to her and the building where she was embalmed.

Itinerary: Plaza de Mayo (1st stop), former Eva Perón Foundation, C.G.T. (2nd stop), National Congress, Eva Perón Museum (3rd stop), and Recoleta Cemetery (4th stop).
