Country Day at El Rosario de Areco with Lunch
A complete day in the country at El Rosario, an estancia located 112 km (approximately two hours drive) from the city of Buenos Aires, in the town of San Antonio de Areco, known as the heart of the gaucho tradition. Usually dedicated to livestock breeding or polo horse training, estancias are the heart of Argentina’s rural life. Now open to tourism, El Rosario de Areco welcomes visitors with empanadas and wine, a short tour of the colonial premises and lunch with a typical Argentine asado and a folk dance show. In the afternoon, the ranch offers a show with gaucho skills such as the “sortijas” race. Take some free time to enjoy the fresh air and a stroll under the trees, before going back to Buenos Aires.
