Balcón del Calafate 4x4 Tour

Just 15 km from the city centre, the Balcón del Calafate (Calafate’s balcony) offers an unbeatable panoramic view of this Patagonian settlement and it natural surroundings with the impressive Lago Argentino. The tour starts on 4-wheel vehicles and then continues on a chair lift to ascend mount Huyliche, 1050 meters above sea level. From the top of the Huyliche, the view seems endless, a likely spot to see a condor. The tour continues to the million-year Laberinto de las Piedras formation (Rock’s Labyrinth) and the Piedra de los Sombreros, a rock that has been shaped by the strong Patagonian winds resembling Mexican hats.
