Back in 1830, British naturalist Charles Darwin grew curious about Patagonia and embarked himself in a vessel called Beagle to travel around this remote territory with prehistoric traces. Famous American bandits Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, writers Bruce Chatwin -who crossed it on foot for his "In Patagonia" book- and Paul Theroux, author of "The Old Patagonian Express", were also there. Closer in time, in 1995, Princess Lady Di visited the Welsh settlement of Gaiman, in Chubut province, located in the region of Patagonia. With pure air, breathtaking views of lakes, mountains and glaciers, and wide extensions of land, Patagonia region defies the imagination.
