If we had to think of a specific color to match Argentina's northeast region, that color would be green and the best attraction would be Iguazu Falls. From Entre Ríos to Misiones, its vegetation is exuberant. Each province here has its own classic: Entre Ríos, the Palmar de Colón, a nature reserve home of the yatay, characteristic palm tree with a long and tall trunk; Corrientes, the Esteros del Iberá, one of the largest wetlands in Latin America, with an astonishing fauna, including capybaras, howling monkeys, swamp deer, and the feared yacarás. And Misiones, the Cataratas del Iguazú (Iguazu Falls), Argentina's most visited National Park. The yerba mate is grown here. Once processed, it turns into Argentina's much loved infusion: the mate.
