Ibera Wetlands

Ibera Wetlands

The province of Corrientes has the Iberá National Park, which protects an area of more than 180 thousand hectares belonging to the Esteros del Iberá ecoregion. Iberá is an ideal destination for nature lovers as it is one of the largest freshwater wetlands on the planet and is home to fabulous wildlife. The presence of native species in danger of extinction stands out, such as the deer of the marshes, the deer of the pampas and the aguará guazú; as well as 360 species of birds.

On the banks of the Iberá lagoon, there is the Colonia Carlos Pellegrini town where 90% of its population is dedicated to offering ecotourism experiences to visitors, bringing them closer to nature and inviting them to take care of it.
